Back in Kazakhstan, finally

Kazakhstan is the world’s largest landlocked country.

Last week I was in Astana, Kazakhstan, to take part in the opening celebration of BI University, alongside Aidyn Rakhimbaev, Chairman of BI Group, the country’s largest construction company, and    Kazakhstan’s Minister of Education. The university’s goal is to offer world-class professional development and education.

Kazakhstan is the world’s largest landlocked country.  It’s capital, Astana, is the central Asian version of Dubai, a futuristic city having risen from the middle of the vast steppe in the past 20 years. And since Hungarian ancestors are said to have started their journey westward from Kazakhstan over a thousand years ago, this was really a homecoming of sorts for me.
